Uhaul Ubox - Top Movers Online

4 Ways to Use a U-Haul U-Box Container

U-Haul U-Box containers are portable storage containers that come in a variety sizes and are designed to take a large chunk of stress out of your moving endeavor. There are five ways to use and transport a U-Haul U-Box and each one works best in different scenarios.

Do It Yourself Delivery

The first and most common option is self-delivery. This option is great for those who are on a very specific schedule or would prefer to just do it all by themselves.

Do it yourself delivery is controlled solely by you. You purchase a U-Haul U-Box, load it yourself, attach it to the back of your car/truck, tow it yourself and unload it yourself. You are also required to bring the U-Haul U-Box back to the U-box container location.

*Self-delivery is also low cost.

Moving Services Option

This option is a bit more expensive and not as hands-on as the do it yourself option. Those who choose this option intend to hire professional movers to bring the U-Haul U-Box to you, load it up, transport to Point B, and unload it for you. The professional movers basically do all of the work for you so all you have to do is pay a monthly fee and tell them to be careful!

This option is perfect for those who want the full service experience, do not have a car/truck that could tow a U-Haul U-Box, and/or someone who is not that great at pacing up their belongings properly.

U-Haul Load and Unload Service

This option has no delivery fee and only requires you to pay a monthly fee for the U-Box. Your job is to bring all of your packed up belongings to a U-Haul location and let the company pack your items into a U-Box for you. You are still required to tow the U-Haul U-Box yourself, but don’t have to deal with all of the heavy lifting and stress of organizing everything into the U-Box.

This option is best for those who are on a tight schedule, have a small budget to stick to, and/or are not transporting too many belongings.

Renting a Truck for Transportation

This option is best for those who have larger loads to move, don’t want to or are unable to move the U-Box’s themselves, and/or prefer to be able to take their time with their move. There is only a monthly fee with this option and you can keep the U-Haul U-Box’s on your lawn for as long as you like.

You decide how many U-Haul U-Box’s you need, load them yourself over time, and when everything has been packed up call U-Haul for a truck delivery. Workers will come and load your boxes onto the large truck and drive it to your destination. They will also load the Box’s off of the truck and usually help you unload them.

Moving Seniors

How to Make Moving Seniors Easier

The elderly require a special level of attention, and the same is true when you have to move them from one place to another. The process of moving seniors to and from living facilities could be daunting and stressful. However, with the help of professional movers specializing in moving seniors, you can take a load off your mind and simply leave everything to them.

Professional movers will oversee even the minutest details of the move. You probably have an inventory of items that will also be needed to be moved. Movers can help you with the packing, if you haven’t started yet. This is a very handy service, since seniors find the whole packing process draining and exhausting. There is also the fact that they may take a very long time to get any packing done. With the help of professionals, packing will be faster and more organized, from labeling the items until the actual transport.

What truly makes moving seniors with the help of professional movers more highly recommended is the level of customization that you will be given.

Seniors have special requirements and maybe even requests that they need fulfilled throughout the move. If you let the movers know what these are, they will ensure that they are followed.

Seniors may also need advice on what to bring and what to let go off. In this matter, they can ask for advice from the professional movers. Of course, the final decision will still be that of the moving seniors.

Professional moving companies will also see to it that the pace of the moving process will be as relaxed as possible for the moving seniors.

This enables the latter to look forward with excitement to their new home instead of dreading the actual move because of the headaches and stress it usually entails.

You can probably take care of all the details yourself, especially if you are the hands-on type. However, if you want everything to be smooth-sailing – and to your exact specifications and requirements – it would be a good idea to hire professional movers instead.

USA Moving and Storage

How USA Moving and Storage Companies Get Started

The moving industry in the United States is a thriving one. If you have been dealing with professional movers and moving companies over the past several years, you are probably wondering how they got started.

Let us take a brief look at what USA moving and storage companies need in order to start operating

·         You must have a clear idea of the services you will offer. Are you solely going to concentrate on the transit aspect, or will you also offer packing and unpacking services? Will it be a local business, or will you also allow long distance moves out of state?

·         Learn the ropes. Fortunately, there are moving trainings and workshops that you can attend or sign up for.

·  Assess your resources. Do you have enough starting capital? Do you have enough space? Do you have to take out business loans and, if you do, do you know where to get one?

·  Assess your business needs, particularly the tools you will need. These include the moving vans or trucks, the space for parking and storage, the manpower you will require, as well as the other tools such as unloading and storage equipment.

·  Obtain the required licenses, certifications and permits. Business permits are a given. You should also look into joining associations that will add to your business credibility.

·   Get insured. You need to take out insurance coverage for your, and your moving company’s, protection. Take out property and business insurance, as well as insurance coverage for any furniture, appliance, or fixture that may be damaged in a move.\

·   Hire the right people and train them. Invest in training your people in the details of moving. Again, there are moving trainings they can attend. Put them through every opportunity to learn in order to hone their skills.

·  Invest in marketing. Use print media or engage in internet marketing. Make social media work for you.
If or when you plan on starting your own moving company in the future, you now have an idea on how and where to begin.

Moving on a Budget

Moving Budget - Typical Moving Expenses

When it comes to moving, the largest stressor tends to be how much this endeavor will drain our bank accounts. The first step to managing those pesky finances is establishing a budget, from there you can learn where to spend and where to save. Take a glance at the typical moving expenses below and see where and how you can save money on your move.

Moving Yourself or Hiring a Professional Movers - How it will affects your budget

This is the largest factor in managing your budget and is the most common moving expense. Both have their advantages and both have their disadvantages.
Moving yourself, depending on the distance and amount of items being moved, can be rather expensive. You have to consider the amount of vehicles you will need to transport your items, the amount of gas it will take, if you will need to purchase additional moving containers, etc. All of those expenses can add up quickly.

Hiring a moving company can be beneficial and cut your typical moving expenses in half. This option is best for those who have to move larger items or large quantities of items.  It is also ideal for those moving long distance. Many companies charge you by weight of items being moved, no gas charges or added fees. So this option can be great for those who need to travel far.

Moving  and Packing on a Correctly Budget

Purchasing packing materials is much easier said than done and can actually be a significant finance drainer is not done correctly. First of all, do not go and spend extensive amounts of money on boxes, tape, and other common packing materials when there are plenty of ways to get these items for cheap or even free!

Ask your family and friends if they have any boxes they aren’t using and would give to you for your move. You should be able to obtain at least a few. Ask your local grocery store or hospital for some larger boxes; they will usually just give them to you for free since the boxes were going to be thrown out anyway!

Packing tape is fairly cheap and can be bought at a dollar store. Now, for packing materials to wrap around fragile items, consider newspapers or old clothing before going out and buying rolls of bubble wrap. This will save you time and money.
